Abstract Technology successfully finished an e-commerce website development for a European customer. (24 Sep, 2004)

After two months' hard work, Abstract Technology Java team once again successfully fulfilled their task to develop an e-commerce website for a European customer on time and on budget.

The ecommerce website aims at providing a transaction platform for shoppers and vendors. Both shoppers and vendors can easily make transactions on the website, such as add and update products, view orders or browse miscellaneous products by categories.

The website is designed to be compliant with J2EE specification. The whole system is divided into three tiers. The presentation tier adopts struts framework to implement MVC design pattern. The second tier is BO layer which encapsulates business logic. Between the BO layer and database, DAO layer adopts iBatis framework to implement data persistence. And we used MySQL as the database to reduce cost. The technology applied in this architecture realized a stable and easy maintenance system.
