Abstract Technology successfully delivered a Vehicle/Container tracking Solution on GPS/GPRS/MapPoint. (20 Jun, 2006)

Abstract Technology lately completed a containerisation tracking system for a long term client who is focusing on helping companies to exploit new markets and optimise operating efficiencies.

The solution relates to the containerisation tracking within the transport/shipping company. It provides a powerful system to assign the transport tasks, monitor and manage vehicle travel position. With the system, the transportation history of all the vehicles/drivers could also be obtained and counted, which helps to schedule the transport assignment and the real-time assignments could reach drivers through their in-car GPS devices/PDA.

Both the online system and the PDA development are based on GIS (MapPoint) GPS and GPRS with Oracle as the database. C#.Net was used as the program language.

Abstract Technology was involved in the whole development cycle of the product, including requirement analysis/design, implementation and testing. And the project which lasted for three months was delivered on time with the efforts of our seasoned .Net engineers.
